We Cover All Aspects of Roofing in Denton and Surrounding Areas

Moston Roofing provides roofing solutions for properties throughout Denton, whether you need a minor repair, improvements to an existing roof or a complete replacement. Our team can help with leaking roofs, broken tiles, damaged ridge lines, deteriorating flat roofing, chimney flashing, guttering issues and ageing fascias and soffits. We can also carry out roof surveys to identify visible problems and help you understand the condition of your roof.
If heavy rain has exposed a leak or your roof is showing signs of deterioration, addressing the issue early may help prevent further damage to ceilings, insulation and timber. We aim to make the process straightforward, with a free survey, an itemised written quotation and clear communication about the recommended work.

Why It's Important to Keep Your Roof Well Maintained

Your roof is your property’s first line of defence against the weather. Over time, roof coverings can deteriorate, tiles can become loose, flashing can fail and gutters can become blocked. If these issues are left unresolved, water may enter the property and cause damage that becomes more expensive to address. Regular inspections can help identify roofing problems before they develop into more serious issues.

Look out for damp patches, missing tiles, overflowing gutters, damaged roof edges and visible signs of deterioration. If you notice any of these issues, arrange a roof inspection before the problem worsens.

How Long Will My New Roof Last?

The lifespan of a roof depends on the materials used, installation quality, weather exposure and ongoing maintenance. Choosing a suitable roofing system for your property in Denton can help improve durability and provide reliable long-term protection.
Here is a general guide to the expected lifespan of common roofing materials:
Actual performance varies according to the product specification, installation, maintenance, and environmental conditions. These figures should not be treated as guaranteed lifespans.

Roof Replacement Costs in Denton

The cost of replacing a roof depends on its size, design, materials, access requirements and the condition of the existing structure. The figures below are general UK budgeting estimates and are not confirmed Moston Roofing prices.
These figures are indicative and can vary depending on the size of the roof, labour, scaffolding, insulation, structural repairs and waste removal. Garage roof prices also depend on the size of the structure and the existing roofing system.
For a reliable estimate, Moston Roofing can inspect your property and provide a written quotation based on the work required.

How Much Does a New Roof Cost in Denton?

A new roof can be a worthwhile investment when the existing roof has widespread deterioration, recurring leaks or damaged materials that are no longer economical to repair. Roof repair costs vary according to the problem, the extent of the damage and how easily the affected area can be reached. A slipped tile or loose gutter joint may need only a small repair. A persistent leak involving damaged flashing, roof valleys or underlying timber may require more extensive investigation and work.
Ignoring a small defect can allow rainwater to enter the roof structure and cause further damage. If you notice damp patches, loose roof coverings or water entering your property, arrange an inspection as soon as possible.

A top roofer. We had various roofers failing to repair our gulleys and had a persistent leak. James found the cause of our leak and repaired that. He repaired the gulleys with flexible sides to handle the temperature changes. He guaranteed his work. Very responsive. Friendly team. Highly recommended.

We needed our roof replacing due to leaks and damaged tiles. We knew it was going to be a lot of work and after having a string of dodgy roofers do work at our house we were nervous but we shouldn't have been. Moston Roofing were brilliant, the work quality was superb, they communicated ever step of the way and they were very friendly which made the disruption of a roof replacement a lot easier to deal with. I would highly recommend Moston Roofing!

If only all tradespeople held themselves to James' does! He's been twice now and done good work at reasonable prices. He also didn't attempt to increase the size of the job by telling me I needed more done than I actually did.

We reached out to James at Moston Roofing following some leaks on our valleys due to a poor quality new roof by the previous owners. From previous experience with roofing work, I wanted a proper job, so looked for companies registered with the confederation of roofing contractors, and came across Moston Roofing. James popped round and explained a few approaches, trying to minimise costs for us while doing a proper job in unpredictable autumn weather. We had a couple of other quotes and Moston came out competitively priced, and James clearly knew his stuff. I read the reviews on Which, Checkatrade etc and my only concern was that all the 5* ratings seemed too good to be true! However... Moston absolutely delivered on the job, managing to fit us in 2 weeks earlier due to a cancellation and our pressing needs to fix the leaks. They worked in a tidy manner and replaced the lead valleys promptly, and gave us a few options along the way. They also replaced our front guttering and downpipes, which was a bit complex due to the shape and roof height. James has popped back a couple of times to double check the mortar had set and gutters are draining, to ensure that they have done a job to last. He is a great communicator and very honest and easy to work with. I would use again without question... but would rather not have a 3rd roof to fix!

The team was polite professional, efficient, and clearly skilled, completing the job on time and with minimal disruption. They took care to clean up thoroughly afterward, and the quality of the repointing is excellent, and I feel confident in the quality of the work. I’d highly recommend Moston Roofing Ltd for anyone in need of reliable roofing services!

Common Roofing Questions, Answered Honestly

Roofing is a trade where it’s hard to know what a fair price or a fair diagnosis looks like. Here are the questions we get asked most in Stockport, with straight answers.

Do you offer free roofing quotes in Denton?
Yes. We offer free roof surveys and written quotations without a call-out fee or obligation to proceed. We usually provide the written quotation within 24 hours of the survey.
The cost depends on roof size, materials, scaffolding, access and the condition of the existing structure. A complete pitched roof replacement can cost several thousand pounds, with larger or more complex roofs costing more. A survey is the best way to obtain an accurate quotation.
For active leaks, we aim to attend the same or next working day where availability and conditions allow. We assess the damage and make the roof temporarily watertight where possible. Permanent repairs may require additional materials, access arrangements or further work.
Our flat roofing options include EPDM rubber, GRP fibreglass and high-performance felt systems. The most suitable material depends on the roof structure, drainage requirements, size and intended use.
