Professional Roofing Services in Stockport

A well-maintained roof is essential for protecting your property from rain, wind and changing weather conditions. Damaged tiles, worn flat roofing materials and defective flashing can allow water to enter your property, potentially leading to damp, damaged ceilings and more expensive repairs. Stockport has a varied mix of traditional homes, terraced properties, detached houses, extensions and commercial buildings. Each property can have different roofing requirements, depending on its design, age, materials and condition.
We work on a range of properties, from traditional terraced houses and family homes to extensions, garages and commercial buildings. Every roofing project starts with an assessment of the existing roof so we can recommend the most suitable solution.
We use appropriate roofing materials and established installation methods to deliver dependable results. New roofs include a 20-year material warranty, with insurance-backed guarantee options available through our contractor arrangements, subject to the applicable terms.

We Cover All Aspects of Roofing in Stockport and Surrounding Areas

From small roof repairs to complete replacements, Moston Roofing offers roofing solutions for a variety of properties in Stockport. If you have noticed a leaking ceiling, slipped tiles, damaged flashing or water overflowing from your gutters, it is worth arranging an inspection before the problem becomes more extensive.
Our team can assess common roofing defects and help determine whether a repair, maintenance work or replacement is the most appropriate option. We also provide roof surveys for property owners who want to understand the visible condition of their roof before planning future work. Whether you own a traditional house, a modern property or a commercial building, we can discuss your requirements and recommend suitable next steps.

Why It’s Important to Keep Your Roof Well Maintained

Your roof protects your property against rain, wind and changing weather conditions. Over time, roof tiles can crack, flashing can deteriorate, gutters can become blocked and flat roofing materials can develop splits or blisters. Small defects may seem harmless initially, but they can allow water to enter your property and damage ceilings, insulation, timber and internal finishes.
Roof coverings are exposed to wind, rain, temperature changes and general wear over time. Without appropriate maintenance, loose tiles, deteriorating flashing or blocked gutters can affect the performance of your roof.
For homeowners and property managers in Stockport, periodic roof inspections can help identify problems early and make it easier to plan necessary repairs.

How Long Will My New Roof Last?

The lifespan of a roof depends on its materials, installation quality, exposure to the weather, drainage and ongoing maintenance. Choosing an appropriate roofing system and addressing minor problems promptly can help protect your investment.

Here is a general guide to the expected lifespan of common roofing materials:

These figures are indicative rather than guaranteed lifespans. The condition of the roof deck, ventilation, workmanship and local weather conditions all influence how long a roof performs effectively

A top roofer. We had various roofers failing to repair our gulleys and had a persistent leak. James found the cause of our leak and repaired that. He repaired the gulleys with flexible sides to handle the temperature changes. He guaranteed his work. Very responsive. Friendly team. Highly recommended.

We needed our roof replacing due to leaks and damaged tiles. We knew it was going to be a lot of work and after having a string of dodgy roofers do work at our house we were nervous but we shouldn't have been. Moston Roofing were brilliant, the work quality was superb, they communicated ever step of the way and they were very friendly which made the disruption of a roof replacement a lot easier to deal with. I would highly recommend Moston Roofing!

If only all tradespeople held themselves to James' does! He's been twice now and done good work at reasonable prices. He also didn't attempt to increase the size of the job by telling me I needed more done than I actually did.

We reached out to James at Moston Roofing following some leaks on our valleys due to a poor quality new roof by the previous owners. From previous experience with roofing work, I wanted a proper job, so looked for companies registered with the confederation of roofing contractors, and came across Moston Roofing. James popped round and explained a few approaches, trying to minimise costs for us while doing a proper job in unpredictable autumn weather. We had a couple of other quotes and Moston came out competitively priced, and James clearly knew his stuff. I read the reviews on Which, Checkatrade etc and my only concern was that all the 5* ratings seemed too good to be true! However... Moston absolutely delivered on the job, managing to fit us in 2 weeks earlier due to a cancellation and our pressing needs to fix the leaks. They worked in a tidy manner and replaced the lead valleys promptly, and gave us a few options along the way. They also replaced our front guttering and downpipes, which was a bit complex due to the shape and roof height. James has popped back a couple of times to double check the mortar had set and gutters are draining, to ensure that they have done a job to last. He is a great communicator and very honest and easy to work with. I would use again without question... but would rather not have a 3rd roof to fix!

I’d highly recommend Moston Roofing Ltd for anyone in need of reliable roofing services!

Common Roofing Questions, Answered Honestly

Roofing is a trade where it’s hard to know what a fair price or a fair diagnosis looks like. Here are the questions we get asked most in Stockport, with straight answers.

Do you offer free roofing quotes in Stockport?
Yes. We offer free roof surveys and written quotations without a call-out fee or obligation to proceed. A written quotation is usually provided within 24 hours of the survey.
The cost depends on the roof’s dimensions, materials, design, accessibility and the condition of the existing structure. A complete pitched roof replacement can cost several thousand pounds, with larger or more complex projects costing more. A survey is the best way to obtain an accurate quotation.
For active leaks, we aim to attend the same or next working day where availability and conditions allow. We assess the damage and may be able to make the roof temporarily watertight before arranging any further repairs. Please confirm current attendance availability when booking.
Our flat roofing options include EPDM rubber, GRP fibreglass and felt systems. The best option depends on the roof structure, dimensions, drainage and intended use.
